Saving the ducks

While the othe old birder was having an experience of a lifetime I was busy saving possibly the most hated dusks in all of S.Fl. - but as you can see they are soooo cute when they are babies:)Mom and Dad led them across the parking lot where there is a small lake,but instead of going to the break in the cement, they expected them to jump the curb. I , being their Auntie led them to the place where they could get to the lake!.

Bald Eagles

Went to Eagle nest with Dan this morning after going to Chapel Trail nature center. We met a man and lady there asking if we have seen the eagle nest, I told him went but could'nt locate it, he offered to show us ,since he was going there himself ,It turned out he is the man who writes the forum I have been following about the eagles. to our surprise both eagles where there. What a wonderful expierience.

Blairseville Trip

On our annual trip to Blairsville I didn't know what to expect  to find in birds, I was very surprised to see 3 new birds that I hadn 't seen before- it was exciting for a winter trip

Went to Secret Woods Nature Center with my hubby this am  and saw my first Pileated Woodpecker was so excited did'nt think any pictures would be in focus  wonderful morning  cant wait to go back also saw many warblers and a male  cardinal .
