Levee

Once again the trio went to seek out the bobcat this time back to the levee where we originally saw him. once on the actual levee there were a parade  of different paw prints, one might of thought there was a parade  all down one direction and up another. Maybe the full moon had them out. We were a little late getting there sun was already coming up. According to Barb the young one there were many creatures right in front of us , a fox and a raccoon family but this old birder did not see any of it and had a hard time seeing the deer. The other old birder Cindy says she saw something move ? Well Barbara hasn't been wrong in the past so I believe her. I must look into Lasik. After that Cindy and I went off to Tall Pines Natural area where we saw Many warblers but only got a pic of this one. By Cindy and a Downy woodpecker.

Went to Loxahatchee early this am in search for the elusive bobcat, with the other old birder Cindy and the youngster Barbara.  Week 2 since the first sighting, but no luck and still no pictures. The skies were dark and dreary.Didn't see any deer either., guess they didn't want to be out when the rain fell. They were smarter than us.

Here is the hawk that has been eating my doves or at least I think it is . I think this is a Coopers Hawk didn't appear small like a dove, and everything I read about the sharp- shinned hawk is that he is about the size of a big dove. Although I swear I seen that one also. This one was so bold to be in a puddle across the street last evening, car's driving up and down and myself out photographing him. He wasn't at all bothered by us, actually seemed to take pride in the fact that we met eye to eye. Yes lady I'm the one your feeding by attracting birds to your backyard and fattening them up for me.

yeah lady it's me

Out smarted by a bobcat

A naturing weekend. Friday John Lloyd state park with the other old birder , Cindy. Saturday around Lake Okeechobee with my husband. And today, Monday went bobcat seeking with Barbara. We were outsmarted, but did see one. Almost got a picture, but he managed to sneak by us twice. Well next time. We did see some nice birds and animals anyway.
