Wakodahatchee Part 2

Second post for this outing saw so many birds , couldn't leave any out. Florida does have so much we take for granted. Happy New Year.

Wakodahatchee wetlands part 1

Went to the wetlands today and there was a lot of activity. The birds were nesting so in a few months I will return to see the young. Will post part 2 in a day or so. More to come.

Buntings are back

The Buntings have returned for the second year. They arrived in Nov., as most of the Warblers were leaving my yard except for the few in this blog. This year I noticed a young male just starting to get some color, hopefully he will stick around so I can see if he changes.

Colorado and Wyoming

This old birder (Lauren) and young birder Barbara planed a trip to Colorado because I never say snow being born and bred in So. Fl. all my trips consisted of summer and fall. Till now and what a trip we saw everything we set out to see except, the large horned sheep.So not to bad of a 2 1/2 day trip.

totally worth the 3 1/2  hour drive from Breckenridge around the Rockies to see Bullwinkle
