Went to the Miami Seaquarium today to photograph my son and his girlfriend swimming with the Harbor seals. It was a beautiful day and they are soo cute. A Black crowned night heron and Great egret made a appearance too.

Here is the hawk that has been eating my doves or at least I think it is . I think this is a Coopers Hawk didn't appear small like a dove, and everything I read about the sharp- shinned hawk is that he is about the size of a big dove. Although I swear I seen that one also. This one was so bold to be in a puddle across the street last evening, car's driving up and down and myself out photographing him. He wasn't at all bothered by us, actually seemed to take pride in the fact that we met eye to eye. Yes lady I'm the one your feeding by attracting birds to your backyard and fattening them up for me.

yeah lady it's me

Out smarted by a bobcat

A naturing weekend. Friday John Lloyd state park with the other old birder , Cindy. Saturday around Lake Okeechobee with my husband. And today, Monday went bobcat seeking with Barbara. We were outsmarted, but did see one. Almost got a picture, but he managed to sneak by us twice. Well next time. We did see some nice birds and animals anyway.

Went to the 196th ave levee this am in hopes to see the ever elusive bobcats, with Barbara. Not only did we not see bobcats we saw not much of anything . Except a deer ass running as fast as he could from us. the pictures posted are about the only things seen except a brown trasher, who didn't want his picture taken and a Great Egret who came out blurry. Didn't want to bore you with that. Oh I almost forgot about the alligator. Not a piece of wood. LOL to desperate eyes it was kind of exciting. Next time a new approach at dusk not dawn lawn chairs and wine. we will let them come to us and if they don't maybe we wont care. Lol we will

Had a great day birding and exploring with Barbara. Hit the bird jackpot as far as I am concerned. Thanks to the young set of eyes she found me a owl to photograph. My only owl siting was several weeks ago as it flew by us to fast for cameras to be ready.( remember spooky old barn blog). We followed this owl from tree to tree as he tried to escape out lens's, but at last pictures. Yea for us. To bad Cindy couldn't be here to see this, but she was having her own adventure in Ga. I'm sure she will blog about it upon returning home. Hint hint it growls.
